I'm tempted to go with the 6" brace so I can get it in the Elevated II. Plus the shop will get the 6" faster. Seems like Mathews is pushing the 6".
I was in my local Mathews shop yesterday and handled the Halon 32, wasn't as heavy as it looks. I should have asked to shoot it, but the range looked pretty busy and I was in a bit of a rush. It might be the best thing since sliced bread, but goodness I just can't justify spending $1,100 on a naked bow. Maybe someday? but that day is not today.
I agree. Bow prices are getting to be a little ridiculous. I get that you get what you pay for and Mathews makes quality bows but geesh its a bow for over $1000. To me its just way to much. The only reason I was able to get my Halon 6 is because I got very lucky at the casino 1 time and hit a $1400 jackpot. I left and went to the archery shop the next day.
Ya. I'd love to get my daughter into a youth bow but not at $999. I'd have to look at them a lot longer to consider spending that kind of money for a bare bow.
The Mission Hype would suit her, I'll bet. My buddy's nine year old killed his first bow deer back in August with one. It's a sweet rig that would grow with her at half the cost of the Mathews flagship bows.
I like the idea of new camo choices, I have never been a fan of Lost Camo. But man that is a heavy bow for hunting. I will still try one but one thing I disliked about the Halon 6 was the weight. After having surgery on both biceps since 2013, I have grown to appreciate bows a little lighter due to the damage.
