I'm going to go test drive them tomorrow. I can't see me replacing my z7, but we'll see.

Sweet Rig! Can't wait to get my Halon 6. Is that the 5 in or 7 in KTech Stabilizer?

I shot it yesterday side by side with the HTR and the new Elites, all set @ 70# (they did not have the HTX which was fine, no real interest).

These last few years I have been very impressed with Elite. I shot the Impulse the day they dropped and really liked them, in fact I almost bought one. I brought a friend who is a big Elite guy to shoot yesterday as well.

I was not too excited about the 6" brace height of the Halon 6, but after shooting it, it seemed ok. The draw was butter smooth, the shot just felt perfect, and where it stood apart from the HTR was the speed upgrade. The new grip was nice, no complaints, and it was a sweet looking rig.

Next was the Impulse 34. I loved this bow a month ago. However when compared to the Halon, the draw was noticeably stiffer and the shot was not as crisp feeling. I kept cycling between the 2, and after 40 or so arrows, the Halon won hands down IMO. My buddy who has shot Elite for years, liked the Halon better as well.

I would have bought one yesterday if they had Black in stock, or if they could have gotten it to me by my AZ Muley hunt next month. I may still grab one before next season, they are a sweet shooting rig for sure.

I'm getting new arrows for my new Halon, I have a 29 inch draw and shoot 67lbs... I was think either the Easton Axis's or the Carbon Express Maxima Blu RZ's, what do you guys recommend?

Shot both the new Nocam and the Halon 6. I wanted to like the Halon for sure, and I wont trash talk it much because its a decent bow. But after shooting Hoyt and Xpedition and Elite, I can not see buying anything Mathews is currently putting out in my opinion. I hate to say it, Im a Mathews fan boy and will hope for a come back, but my next bow will not be a Mathews. Xpedition Xcentric 7 is leading for me. Will shoot a couple bowtechs Monday and Obsessions Tuesday, then will make my choice.

I wanted to try out an Xpedition, but there are no shops around here that carry them. That alone will probably drive me away.

I haven't shot the new Mathews, but those expedition bows are dang nice.! If I was to buy a new bow today it would be hard not to buy an expedition.

My local Mathews shop also carrys them. If you get the chance shoot one for sure. I can see some people not liking it, we all have different opinions. But I loved it.

Only reason I did not leave Friday with one in my truck is Obsession has amazing reviews also. I have to shoot one before I decide, and honestly from what Im told I might like obsession more. But, Xpedition is so far winning by a long shot in my opinion.
