Math Problem for the day

    So you have a sack of potatoes weighing 100 lbs. in respect to weight, these potatoes are very plump and are actually 99% water. So theoretically if you completely dehydrate them, your sack of potatoes would then only weigh 1 lb.

    Lets say you don't want to completely dry them out though. You just want a slight decrease from 99% water to 98% water. How much would the sack weigh then?

    Winner gets to call Justin a name without being banned. Hook may throw in a pair of worn out Toms too (although you can't tell, because they look hideous straight out of the box).

    50 lbs.

    49 parts water to the 1 part of original potato weight comes out to a ratio of 98% water.


    This is why you have to be careful of relative numbers instead of absolute numbers!
