Master baiter tips?

I'd hate to see what the other thing looked like.

 

Baiting is a touchy subject but comes in handy for some. Unethical in many states, but on the other hand, can lead to a satisfying hunt if you have a good grasp of the techniques used.

 

I usually wear protection. I usually use 5gal buckets to put it in and those wire bails get pretty rough.

 

I don't always bait. But when I do it's at night in a forest preserve.

Sometimes the opposing hand makes it feel different with the baiting.

 

It does, but it beats the alternative.

 

It's almost as if a stranger is baiting for you. It's nice to switch it up every once in awhile.

 

Is anyone here a self taught baiter or were you guided by the hand of someone else?

I come from a legacy of great master baiters in Wisconsin. They taught me the ropes at a very young age. Honestly I didn't know what I was getting into. It's been really hard giving it up.
