There's a beautiful 8 on the property I hunt, plus a nice doe or two. Fresh tracks through the fields, etc. Went turkey hunting this afternoon; the 20 buggers that were there Saturday evidently got the email about the fall season starting today and decided not to show up! Maybe tomorrow or Wednesday I'll get back out there...
Didn't get in the woods all day yesterday and this morning. Can't wait to get in today. Recent trail cam pics got me excited and bucks are starting to move from their hiding spots. Good time to be in the woods.
Hoping to get a evening hunt in today i have been busy with work. Should be a good day for some late afternoon hunting!
I thought I saw that they extended Fall Turkey a week, opening on the 22nd instead of the 29th. I didn't see any while in the stand anyways so it hasn't made a difference to me.
Hate to be that guy but I checked the abstract myself because I saw them on sat and I was sure monday was opening day. But it opens the 29th and ends on the turd. :D Unless I am missing something!!! Never got an email from massfishhunt or whatever it is.
Spent 7 hours in my stand yesterday. 6-10 and 3-6. No deer. Three hens hanging out within 20 yards for about an hour, but want the gobblers so didn't take the shot. And a bastard red squirrel who busted me on the afternoon and had a lot to say! I'm leaving anti-anxiety pills around so he'll chill out.
Sat from 4-6:15 tonight nothing came in but it is nice with the colder weather. Saturday's the day to be in the woods in Massachusetts the crappy weather from the hurricane is going to be here at the beginning of the week. So the deer should be moving and feeding, I hope !!!

whoa just scrolled up and saw the new turkey dates!!!! I just let a bunch of them walk by this morning!!! Unreal man!
Not seeing any deer during shooting hours with this warm weather. Seeing plenty on my ride home though. Hopefully Saturday with the storm aproaching they will move early! So frustrating to see nothing then get in your truck and start driving down the road only to have deer cross in front of you heading towards your stand in the dark.
