Posted a picture of The Long 9 awhile back. After having an encounter with him during the rut…no arrow flew…I continued to hunt him… primarily focusing on food sources…although I thought he might move in daylight during the second mini-rut as we have so many twin fawns that may not have been in estrus during the main rut. We’ve had a cold snap here in Maryland over the last couple of days and archery season reopened this morning … as luck would have it after nearly 45 days of hunting this guy relentlessly…he walked up a drainage to 27 yards broadside. Double lunged him and watch him crash about 100 yards from impact. Feel truly lucky, blessed and grateful. I took him to the processor without green scoring him. What’s your guess…I think 141 1/2 gross. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Wow, what a great buck! Big congrats for being determined to kill one specific buck. Vert nice tine length, including brows! I'm going with 145" all day, that's gross score. Looking forward to you posting his actual score.
