Maryland DNR Opens It Maryland Black Bear Lottery - Open to residents & non-residents

Applications are being accepted for the 2013 Maryland Black Bear Hunting Permit Lottery through August 31. If you aren’t going to be able to hunt this year, you may still enter for a “Preference Point” only, which will enable you to keep your accumulated preference points for the 2014 drawing.

There are a few changes we want to alert you to. This year we are using Maryland DNR’s COMPASS licensing system. You must set up an account with the system to apply. Your DNRId number will be your lottery number and each year you will retain the same number.

Lottery Permit

Thanks for this info. I am glad you have posted this info because I am also looking for Black bear Lottery. I want to apply this so please tell me what are the procedure are for this. I also visit one site regarding Lottery permit

 

I've got one point going in! I am moving there in December so I went ahead and bought a point for next year. It will probably take me another year or two to draw.
