I hope the photo loads correctly. New area I'm going to be hunting. Feel free to mark up or comment on stand sites, travel routes or maybe where you would build a starbucks. Thanks!

I wouldn't bother marking it, it's small enough to scout quickly. The only reason i mark maps is to make the most of my scouting time.

Easiest way to start is to walk that stream and find crossings. You can then follow them throughout the wood lot. Also all of those little ponds are going to funnel deer to one side or the other.

Looks like a fun piece. Between the north pond and that curve in the river looks like some type of pinch point.

Yea, I agree w/ boof, I see a few pinch points (nice ones at that) and I like that thin strip of woods middle west of the map. Also like that soft transition b/w what looks to be hardwoods to the thinner woods on the northwest (top left) of the map. Deer love those types of edges. By taking the creeks in and out each time looks like you could get in and out rather clean and get a few more hunts out of it. Hope you kill one you like!

The slim tree line between Creek & CRP field is interesting. Good chance there will be some bedding near that river bend. Also, the south side of that river bend out to be scouted to see if there is some kind of Inside corner travel effect on the outside of that bend. Like cwoods the cover break on the NW looks cool.

One thing I would add is that they like to cross at S-bends in creeks if it has sloping banks so's to conceal themsleves while crossing from up and downstream critters/hunters.

Yes for the most part, but very rugged and overgrown. I just went out there today. Took me two+ hours to scout less than a 1/4 of the total area. probably like a 10th of it. I tried walking the creek and did come across some sign but, I'm so unfamiliar with the area, that I have no idea when to hunt any of it. I found some bedding areas just off the north east CRP field right at the wood line. Couple good trees too, but how do I know when they are using this bedding area? I think it might be a morning one, but really not sure.
