There's a lot of NBA guys saying the Harrison twins have now played their way into the 1st round of the draft...A deep run in March/April can really improve your draft status.

It's not possible to take freshmen deep in the tourney every year. I think we are lucky to have three in the last four. With that said I am proud we have made it this far. We have a great coach and a epic group of guys that have a great shot at a title. It may not happen, but either way, these guys are special. Win or lose, this class will be talked about 20 years from now. Go big blue.

That's been disproven. Nobody has won as much or as often as Calipari over the past 5 years. Last years failure was more due to a Junior transfer player not panning out and a top 5 player nationally blowing out his knee.

Bill Self has won 156 games over the last five years compared to Calipari's 152.

They were on a 5 game winning streak and just broke back into top 25 sitting at 18-6 when he blew his knee out against Florida.... Went downhill quickly from there. He was the ONLY thing keeping that team together on its last leg.

I was kind of referring to tourney wins in that time frame...

Kentucky has 4 Elite 8s, 3 Final Fours, 2 Final Games, and 1 maybe 2 Championships...

Kansas has had 2 Elite 8s and 1 Final Four in that stretch...

Not Saying Self isn't a great coach and recruiter, he just has yet to prove himself as a coach that can carry his team very far late season.

I'm not a big Kentucky fan (not one at all really). They (and Calipari) are surrounded by "scandal" NCAA violations, rumors, etc... BUT you have to respect the dude as a basketball coach and the program for its consistency and track record. This season and THIS tournament is one of the best coaching jobs I've ever seen. Recruits do help .. yes. But this guy just gets the most (and then some) out of his players and unit as a whole. It's incredible what he has done really. And poised to win another Championship tonight. His adjustments and taking 5 freshman and making them play together at the level they are playing now is pretty dam impressive. Win or lose tonight he got all out of this team and coached his kahuna off.

And if Harrison misses one of the three shots people are saying the opposite things.

Ky is on a 5 game winning streak. Ties their longest of the season. They will have to break the season long win streak to win the NC.

Im nervous about the uconn guards. Ky hasn't handled the ball that well this year.

Cracks me up how fans who don't follow basketball always throw out the vacated line like its a certainty. Two incidents with players breaking rules in which the NCAA went as far as to call Calipari an innocent victim of the circumstances in their report. EVERY school has instances like this, it just seems the NCAA only wants to punish half of the time.

UCONN- Recruiting violations involving Jim Calhoun himself, Post Season Ban last year for low academic performance
Duke- Corey Maggette was found to have taken money in HS, declared ineligible and Duke STILL doesn't have season vacated
Duke- Lance Thomas senior year during 2010 Title year for Duke paid $30k down on a $100k loan for jewelry in NYC which came to light from the jeweler filing a lawsuit for nonpayment... Duke finds out, Jeweler refuses to talk all of the sudden, NCAA declares nothing to see here
UNC- You could write a book on the level of corruption involving their entire athletic department over the past two decades. If any school deserved a death penalty ever, it would be UNC. Fake classes for athletes (literally classes on transcript that never met or even existed), Fake grades, funneling athletes to African American Studies Major (where fake classes were, over half of the 09 title team listed this as a major). Then you have the PJ Hairston stuff come out with the drug dealer supplied rental cars that athletes were driving, drug/firearm charges, and pictures of partying with Drug Dealer (several team members) surfacing on internet before later being deleted

My point is, this stuff occasionally happens at EVERY major program. Most of the time, the school itself isn't involved (except UNC) so they aren't punished... The Memphis case was the most bizarre, the NCAA never even proved that Derrick Rose had someone else take his SAT for him in high school, flags were raised by a handwriting analyst working for SAT, and when Derrick Rose never showed for the NCAA hearing (already in NBA by this point), they determine he was guilty and forfeit Memphis's entire season even though the NCAA themselves cleared him to play at the beginning of the season (so Memphis then played him). Now, realistically Rose didn't take the test or he would have defended himself at the hearing... it's just baffling that the NCAA operated on a guilty until proven innocent mantra in this case.

Could something down the road come out about Demarcus Cousins having accepted money from an agent in AAU ball or during his spring semester at UK? Sure, as with any school these kids live their own lives and make their own mistakes. They can't be 100% controlled as they aren't slaves. For someone who has NEVER been indicated in a major NCAA violation, Calipari sure does catch a bad rap though. Dude has an ego for sure... but he has never cheated to anyones knowledge, doesn't lie to kids to make them think staying in school for 2-3 years is in their best interest IF one year would serve them/their family better, orchestrates million dollar charities, etc... Sounds like a pretty good guy to me.

2013 Louisville champions Chane Behanan and Kevin Ware... funny that this picture was deleted less than 2 days after Chane posted it, and his account was then deleted. Shady stuff happens everywhere out of coaches control, Cal is seemingly the ONLY one who is blamed for it though.

Heartbreaking loss to Kentucky. I wish UK luck, anyway you look at it the game vs Bucky was a great game. Honestly do not think the badgers could have played much better.

And let's not forgot that both of those guys are now at other schools after being dismissed for drugs & drug use... Funny how you don't hear any of that.
Also if any of the so called "Calipari experts" on here will go do some research you'll soon find out that Cal was the one who reported the infraction to the NCAA @ UMass and the D. Rose infraction @ Memphis actually happened while he was still in High School & that the NCAA Clearing House CLEARED D. Rose to play before his freshman season started. If the haters could/would read facts then Cal looks a lot more innocent than most like to scream... Fact is UNC might be the most corrupt school out there right now and ESPN doesn't talk about them every day.

My wife just flew into dallas for work and they just landed. There were 2 refs for tonight's game on the flight. They were delayed and let the refs off first so they could make the game.

    Cutting it a bit close
