Small rant here... These guys faking a shot... getting a guy to leave his feet... then jumping into him in the air intentionally like it was an actual shot attempt to get a foul charged is a crock. That foul should be on the shooter as long as the angle he took was not directly at the shooter... I am done.

Go UK... my swimmer son is considering attending there so we are for them at the moment.

I can kind of see your point in theory. It's been a part of the game forever and probably always will be. Once you leave your feet as a defender it's game over.... you lost your defensive position and at the mercy of the shooter. I do partially agree with you where the shooter simply leaps into the airborne defender though.

I know it's been done a long time... it is the same as a flop to me.

I agree. And it's like the offensive player jumping into the defenders space. Kind of like an offensive foul aside from feet not being set. Maybe revise the rule to a "basketball move" interfered with? Meaning if it effects your normal shot and space, then foul. If you go outside your normal shooting area and initiate contact... no foul.

Hat goes off to Kentucky, they just keep winning, no matter the situation. The team, coach, and fans should be kissing Harrison's feet right now, guy saved their butts again.

Having said that, I still dislike Kentucky. Let's go UConn

Game Day folks! I will be utterly useless for anything today, but I am ok with that. T Minus 12 hours until tip off. Really hope we pull off the win. Not only because Championships are so rare, but because I think the Twins have played their way into getting drafted in the first round and may leave now. We will struggle next year at the guard spot if they don't stay, which would be fine if we win the Natty C (following season you are playing on house money anyway)... but if we fall just short, next years struggles can leave a sour taste in your mouth.

When I read this all I could think about was how we won the championship in 2012 then turned around the next year and lost the first round of the nit to Robert Morris. I'm beyond ready for tonight.

While it was certainly an embarrassing season... It didn't bother me in the least. It happens quite frequently. UNC wins it all 2005, gets bounced before the Sweet 16 the next year. Florida wins it all 2006/2007, NIT next TWO seasons. UNC wins it 2009, NIT next season. UCONN wins it 2011, NIT next season. UK wins it 2012, NIT next season.

Bottom line, to win a championship you either have a lot of seniors, a lot of next level NBA talent, or both. In most cases after these players win a title, they feel compelled to go to the next level. Thats why teams so commonly struggle the year after a title (mass exodus of their roster for various reasons). I don't care if UK goes 10-25 next season if they win tonight, you take championships when you can get them and figure out the aftermath later. If we lose, I just really hope the twins return so we will be good yet again next year.

Ya it differently takes talent to win championships. That is why in the ncaa tourney you haven't seen a team win it more than two times in a row. (Minus the 60s-70s when UCLA won 7 in a row). But I think win or lose the twins will be at best a early 2nd round pick.

Should be a great game tonight. If I was UK I'd be giving the ball to number 2 with less than 10 seconds. Dude has ice water in his veins when the game is on the line.

I agree in theory and hope that holds true because that means they will return.... But nothing surprises me with the NBA draft anymore. Exhibit A, Daniel Orton.

Haha Orton was a joke. I also heard the announcers say Saturday night that Lee was looking into the draft. I had to rewind it twice to make sure I heard it right. I hope he doesn't, he has some talent and I think he would make a awesome 3-4 year player.

That's just announcers talking. Lee has zero chance of being drafted. He is atleast a 3 year player. Poythress I could possibly believe, but I think Johnson, Lee, Poythress all 3 return no questions asked. Young, WCS, and Randle gone. Only question marks are for the twins IMO.

I agree with all but Johnson. He has proven he can play now that he gets the minutes and has the size too. All the mock drafts I've seen still have him as a top 20 pick. They are saying he is going to be a 7ft tall monster so the NBA is looking heavily at him.

I will say the game announcers Saturday for the UK game were horrible, not sure if that's who you guys had normally....if so, I'm sorry!!
