I wouldn't be surprised if he was killing 150s consistently and replacing the racks with these booner racks. I still think the guy can flat out hunt...just let greed get in the way.

I guess that's why he's not holding the rack up on the dead deer???

Its a shame that this situation happened at all. Real or fake it gives hunting a bad rep.

The record books are a joke, plain and simple. About on par with the "Who's Who" books. Pay us money and we will put your name in a book no one but you will ever read or care about.

Preying on insecurity and vanity really is sad and unfortunately stuff like this is always a byproduct of such misguided efforts.

Looks like the same buck to me and even knowing that I really couldn't care less......unless he took money or an award from a legit hunter in the process there is no reason to care. If he lied he's a tool......first for lying and second for lying about killing a deer. Thousands of guys kill big bucks every year. Did he think it would make him special??

I honestly feel bad for people who hunt to get their name in a book......I personally know of numerous fake entries into P+Y and knowing that I would assume fake entries are super common. That, plus all the huge deer that are killed and never entered make me wonder why someone would strive to be in such a "record book".

Nice job coloring those antlers Marc.......seriously, those look great if that in fact was a dead head. Guy has talent restoring racks and taxidermy if nothing else.

It's alot more than just getting his name in the book, Atlas. It's all about money.
More recognition equals more traffic to his blog, more of his suits sold, advertising revenue, more taxidermy business, etc, etc.
If it's true, he's worse than Spook. At least he killed his deer.
    Just another fraud.

No doubt..........money makes people do stupid things every day.

Keeping a state by state and/or national record of the biggest bucks ever killed (maybe top 3 or so) totally makes sense to me. Why we need a book recording thousands of bucks in the 120's is beyond me.......but like you said it almost always comes back to money in the end. Money is driving both sad ends of the spectrum in this case it appears.

Invest in a taxidermy class, those 100 inches will be 200 inches in no time!

Pretty crazy stuff. That pic Christine posted was ridiculous. Pretty sure I'd of kept that one just for me ha.

On a side note, kicked out or quit or whatever, I'm glad to see Illinois deer hunting future is gonna be turned around with guys like this in the IWA.

I can honestly say that I have never heard of the guy. And, from the looks of those pictures, I wont make the effort to find out.

It's sad that people let greed or fame take the fun out of hunting. Hunting is a reverent thing and competition should be enjoyed with family and friends - not for money or getting your name in a book.
