I have never really used topos too much in the past. Mainly because I hunt a ton of flat land and usually only used them to find waterways, drainages, etc. but I fell like I am missing out on some useful info. So I need some help.

First bit of help, what are some good books for map reading in regards to deer hunting? I know they've been posted in the past, I'm a little slow.

Second bit of help, I have been looking at some areas in the middle to western part of VA and the more west you go the more hilly the terrain and eventually you get to the mountains. So I am a fish out of water in regards to that kind of terrains impact on deer movement having hunted mainly flatland for so long. Here is a map of just a small piece of a larger piece I can hunt, what the heck I am looking at??

I know the pic is kind of small but once you click on it you should get the expand option twice to make it a touch bigger.
