I broke my Corona pole saw last week. Was looking for suggestions on any others extendable saws. I think 14 or 16 ft would be good enough thats what my last saw was. Anyone got the saw they love. Tha is in advance.

Fiskars makes a nice saw but buck up for the $100 one it is way better than what else is out there.

I have a Craftsman that works good. About 10 years ago I wanted to get a new blade for mine. It was no longer available and with their lifetime warranty they gave me a entire new saw.

I also have hooeyman. It does ok. I take it, and the pole saw extension with me for most hunts where I don't have a permanent stand set-up

I abuse the crap out of pole saws. I use them A LOT. I have broken just about all the hardware store brands. I bought a Wicked Tree Gear pole saw this year....holy crap that thing is sharp! I Love it!

Some of you may call me a cheap *******, but this past summer I was also looking at the multiple brands listed above. They just seemed over priced. So I went to Lowes and bought a cheap folding hand saw, an extendable pole ( like you’d use to paint ceilings, 2 bolts & wing nuts. Here’s what I got.
    [IMG][IMG]

I drilled one hole, and that’s it. Cost me about $30 ! Nice thing is I can remove it easily to use only the hand saw ( and paint ceilings on the honeydo list ) and the blade folds and locks both open and shut. Wish the pole was a bit stiffer, but for the money ( and the blade can be replaced ), I could replace this 4-5 time without reaching the cost of the big name brands.

I've heard nothing but good things about Silky's. I use a pole pruner over the pole saw. I have a saw blade that will mount on top of the pruner if the limb is too large to be snipped.
