Ok so for the past seasons I have used the rage 2 blade BH. Luckily I have not had one problem with them. So I decided to switch this year and could'nt decide on what to use. I went to my local shop and the owner was shooting these BH's called Maninacs and said that he never had to adjust his sights at all. Then this past sunday he put one to use on a doe and said that the Maniac was awsome. He shot his doe at 28 yards had a full pass thru and she did'nt run off to far with a good blood trail. So it had me really wanting to try them. So he gave me 2 he had used for practice and told me to go in the range and try them. All I can say is wow 20 yards spot on. I never had to touch my sight at all. I got a pack and put them right on my arrows and put the rages to rest. Hopefully this weekend I will get a chance to put them to use.
Once I get a deer with one I will post some pics of the shot, damage, and blood trail for you to take a look at.

just curious as to why you switched if there was no problem with them? i shoot rages and love them. for me, i would never switch unless i encountered a problem with them.

Michael, I'd be interested in your field testing. It looks like one of the broadheads that open through the impact rather than on it... the head is already through the hide when the blades catch to open?

Adam: I switched because my blades are always popping open in my quiver or if I brush up against something so I retired them will 100/100 and will leave them at that. I do not like second guessing my euipment at all.
Rob/Pa: those are the other Bh's they make and I can not tell you anything about them. The ones I got are the maniac and are a fixed blade they have 4 blades and a really smooth cutting chisel point. Here is a link to the bh

Dental Brace rubber bands work flawlessly... Lots of people on here use them. Just put them in the center of the pivot point and problem solved... forever.

Here's a pic from another member on here, this is how he does his...

Is this the one that you were telling me was like that sample head I have that we were looking at when I was at Pete's last week?

No is the same company but not the same BH
their other ones have the same blades like the sample you have but they don't have the fixed blade portion on them.
go to aftershockarchery.com and look at the gobbler

Interesting! I will have to try that. I am only worried they wont open on impact.

Thats exactly what I do and it works great! I would be willing to bet you could put 5 bands on there and they would still open ;) Im however going to give the bloodrunners a try, its about time to tinker with another head!

Ok this thread was'nt started to talk about RAGE broadheads guys.
I just wanted to give a little info on the MANIACS.
Now I shot a yearling sunday. she was at about 18 yards. A complete pass thru duoble lunger. My arrow stuck in the graound about 6" deep. There was foamy blood at the point of impact and the blood could have been followed by a blind person. That little doe did'nt make 30 yards and just fell right over.
Next time I will try to get pics of the blood trail and shot placement for you to see. Its just that it was to dark and I was to tired to try to get it done that night.
