What do you do with a mannequin in a tree stand after you climb in yourself?
    1) Hang it by the neck from a tree limb?
    2) Toss it out of the stand like a rag doll?
    3) Dangle if from the stand 'til you're done?
    4) Hook it to a Zip Line... sending it about 100 yards away to scare deer towards you?

    Just wondering????

I immediately thought of that 80's movie when the guy fell in love with manikin and it came alive. :)

Yep. The name of the movie, strangely enough, was "Mannequin". :D

I think I fell in love with Kim Cattrall while watching that movie. Sigh….

Ya know what you could do...

You could hollow out the manacan. (I really do prefer that spelling, it's so much easier) Then, when the time is right, you could quietly slip into the manacan. In essence, you're wearing a manacan suit. Deer walk by, they think to themselves..."Joe, there's that manacan again"...

    And then...You pounce!!

The manacan suit comes to life and releases hell on those deer!

You'd have every deer in the tri-county area terrified to walk through a JCPenny.

Back on track, I don't see any benefit whatsoever to putting anything up in the tree other than your stand. Why risk tipping deer off to the location in the first place. If the stand is placed well and concealed, and you sit still, the deer should never really pick you off there anyway.

You would be better served to cut brush and tie it to the tree at stand level to hide your profile

    Michihunter...that was awesome.

In all seriousness, what I recommend in a tree with little cover... is too cut down some pine branches and tie them together. Then hang them up in the tree around your stand.

The deer will get used to something up in that tree which will help you blend in. In a spot with no/little cover.
