You're right. Because, between the two of us, I know what I am talking about. The next time I let an arrow loose into the front of an elk it will have the same outcome as the last.

That is not going to happen!

Going to roll the dice where I am. If I do not get drawn I can always run them muleys down.

I like to stay out of these types of arguments, but let's not mis-quote Corey. Here's the full unedited quote.

"I’m not going to recommend taking these shots, but I’m also not going to advise against these shots. I will, however, urge hunters to study the anatomy of an elk and determine for themselves whether the shot is effective or risky."

I know less about Elk hunting than most. In fact, I've never seen an elk in the wild. The one thing I do have is the ability to comprehend and remember what I've read.

Thanks, but it's not just me..........9 out of 10 archery elk hunters disagree with you as well. ;)

Yea......already covered that. That's why it was called a snip and I also CLEARLY stated the author went on to say it came down to your choice after a laundry list of reasons why that shot fails so often.

I understand both sides of this tissue..I mean issue. Most archers will say the "politically correct" response to a "risky shot" but in the end there is always more than one way for a practiced bow hunter to skin that rabbit.

Geez, let it go. Everyone is going to decide what their own definition of a good clean kill is...and have to live with the repercussion of that choice. You make your shot and someone else will make their shot.
