I recently harvested a 7 pt. buck from my lease in jo daviess Illinois. I wanted a skull mount, so I handed it over to the taxidermist, and when I got it back, I noticed a strange chip, almost like you find sheds from chewing. Its really not big, but I can definitely notice it. The only reason I even care the slightest bit, is because there was a special story behind it. If it was already there thats fine, but I kinda want to know if its natural or not. If not what do you think could have done it. The first 2 pictures is right after I killed it, and the last 2 are after I got it back. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg What made the chip... The deer or the taxidermist?

Looks to me to be normal shrinkage after drying. Just my opinion though... not being a taxidermist and all.
