I know we have seen some of yours before but with the huge amount of new members over the last few months I am sure that we have some great man caves. Post up some pictures so the rest of us can drool!
My man cave has 104" screen with a high end surround sound system, dedicated it to a theater room. I'll post pics in a min. These pics are from right when I finished the room. I have since framed out the screen with black velvet covered trim.
I'm just curious if people think my room sucks because noone else has posted, nor has anyone commented I did it myself, over 6 weeks. Ran all the wires, including the new wall sconces, new outlets, speaker wires, in ceiling outlet for the projector, and recessed can lights. I even built the projector mount (saved me $250). I built the screen diy style too (saved me about $1000-$2000). I also hid everything I could in the storage room behind the screen wall (so you don't see all the equipment) and use IR repeaters to control everything. I'm also working on lighted movie poster frames. This was the first "home improvement" type thing I've ever undertaken. While I hope others think it is cool, it really only matters that we thoroughly enjoy it. The picture quality is amazing (from the JVC HD250), and playing call of duty on 104" is rediculous!
I do not think it is stupid at all. I think it is awesome! I haven't posted because I don't have a man cave...yet. Just moved into my house a year and a half ago and their are bigger fish to fry at this stage of the game. Looking very forward to having one one day though. Nice job! Sal
