She knew from the beginning my passion of bowhunting so there wasn't any need to break her in. She doesn't yet but she wants to start. I caught her looking at a Cabela's catalog a couple of days ago at bows. Her birthday is this weekend so I was planning on surprising her. It's either a bow or sewing machine...no joke.
I'm well aware. Getting the pics weren't my idea, believe me. I don't practice staring at my lady millimeters from her face and I find it quite hard to go from "happy face" to "serious face." They cost enough so I figured wth, take my lashings from my boys at BH.com. Lakers aren't even on the Bearcats level anymore! Boom!
I'm just messing with ya. The Lakers had to let them win one. I'm sure the Bearcats were getting sick of being the Buffalo Bills of D2. I'm not sure GV had any room left in the trophy case. I hear they are building a bigger case which will have room for the 2010 trophy.
Ha! Yeah, it was getting a little ridiculous to lose 4 years in a row at the big show. Brandon Carr has shown some pretty good promise for the Chiefs, I'll give you that. He had his ups and downs last year but I think he'll really put it together in his 3rd year. He has to with this new regime or he's Ghandi! On another note, I think Bobby the Bearcat would destroy Louie the Laker. What the heck is a Laker anyway?
A laker is a nickname used for big boats, especially those in the Great Lakes. The men on those boats were often referred to as "lakers". Bobby would be toast. Look at the guns on Louie! Yeah, he works out...and he wears a captain's hat. You don't mess with someone in a captain's hat.
I couldn't agree with this statement more! I would encourage you guys to take some kind of pre-marriage class. You will learn so much about each other and grow closer because of it.
How do pre-marriage classes work? What exactly is involved with these classes? I'm just curious, because I can't think of anything that I do not know about my fiancee.
Well a lot of churches will have some kind of pre-marriage class, but if you aren't involved in church and don't want to be, you can google pre marriage counseling near your area and find something that should work. Basically you cover a wide range of topics from conflict resolution to finances to communication to sex and kids. I guess a lot of it depends on your attitude going into it, I basically wanted to learn as much about my wife as possible and set our selves up for success. I ended up learning a lot about myself as well. Plus it was a lot of fun and we got to meet a bunch of other couples. I guess the biggest thing is that you talk about things you might never have even thought about before. Honestly and with respect it kind of scares me that you would say you can't think of anything you don't know about your fiancee. People who have been married for 20+ years will tell you that there is always something to learn about your mate. It is a constant process and takes continual effort. A class like the one I took just gives you some tools to use throughout the process of continually falling in love! I take almost all advice with a grain of salt and I would ask you to do the same with mine, especially since I have only been married 3 months. Please let me know if you have any specific questions or you can PM me.
I'm going to doubt we take any pre-marriage classes. Like I said before we've basically been married for 2 years just without the papers. If she is planning on springing something on me all of a sudden then she's in the wrong profession and needs to head to Hollywood.
First it was how everyone likes to shower, and now marriage counseling. I hope these aren't typical "water cooler" topics at your guys' work. BH.com...heading down the...
Sorry Vito. Come on guys lets keep it out of the toilet. How many of you would go hunting without scouting first or making sure that your equipment is in good working order (out of the gutter guys)? I guess I just see nothing wrong with doing everything you possibly can to see that your marriage is successful in an age when divorce is so prominent. I think marriage is a beautiful thing and I sincerely wish the best to the soon to be married and the veterans!
atta boy! you shoulda made her take a few with you in the weight room! haaaaaaaa get you in your element. congratz!
Oh we have some...although I'm not a professional photographer and I think they would be frowned upon on this forum!
