My friends keep getting mad at me, they say hey you wanna go out tonight? And I say yea sure!..............unless I shoot a deer. Or yea ill be home by 730 babe.....unless I shoot a deer. haha Non hunters just dont get it. So who else makes plans that end in "unless I shoot a deer"
From the start of the season to the end... that's just how it is. One time when I played deck hockey, I shot a doe before the game. It was cold & I didnt feel like rushing to get her out before the game, so I let her lay. I knew she was dead even though she ran out of sight. After the game some buddies asked if I wanted to grab a beer & I told them I had to go get my deer that I shot. None of them hunted, they were totally baffled at the premise.
Haha ive had to use this a few times last year. I havent used it this year yet but im sure i will soon enough. Sent from my HTC Hero S
Missed a high school dance once because I had shot a deer. It was the Sadie Hawkins dance and the ole girl that asked me to go didn't speak to me for weeks.
I don't have that problem, if it is hunting season, I do not make any other plans. The wife may change that but she understands that the season is not that long and it is my only hobby.
All the time. It's homecoming at college this week so while my roommates are drinking everything in sight I tell them ill be home at 8 haha Sent from iPhone
She was the type to get drunk and make poor decisions. I often asked myself if that deer was worth it.
On every occasion that I go out the wife always gets an "Ill be home at X time, unless I shoot one". She expects it now
My plans go more like "If I shoot a deer by then, Ill be there." Like I will not go out of town during November or October so I can hunt, unless of course my tags are filled by then.
