Overall, I believe this site is good one. better than most even. Seems to be that even a great site could always be made better. I recently found out that there are people out there that are very knowledgeable and willing to share said knowledge with other, but are banned from being here. Details about any specific person being banned are not the point I want to make, but rather I would ask, how long should a ban be? and if a reasonable amount of time has passed, can and maybe should, a person be asked back? Im not talking about asking those terminal trouble makers to be asked back, but Im sure there are good people out there that may have made a one time mistake. Is it possible that there are people who could improve this already good site, but are currently banned from participating? If there are such people, is there a way current members could sponsor them? If such people have been banned for over a year, could a probationary period be given? should every ban be for life?
not sure but I think they give warnings...........and temp bans before a permanent ban is handed down
Banning is not a one time thing, poof your gone! It can be days, months years or permanent, and can be lifted. Unless your a spammer or have had multiple warnings and some temp time outs first then chances of permanent ban are moot!
Bans are rare. If in fact someone gets banned, it's after multiple warnings or attempts to give time for a change in behavior. I haven't been on board for too long and have only banned spammers, but historically, that's usually how it goes. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4.
I only know of 2 controversial bans....there may be more I don't know... but it's bh.com's world, we're just living in it. :D
