The last plot is planted! My oldest(2 in November) stayed at grandmas last night and my youngest (1 week) was snuggled up with my wife this morning so I want out back to finish up my last plot. It's just a small 1/4 acre plot inside the woods now planted in a quick plot mix with chicory added. Come on bow season! Cannot wait! But on another note. What is everyone thinking for team names and captain?
Started on fall plots this weekend. Got the 1/2 acre plot don't today and started on another 1/4 acre plot. I put soybeans, cowpeas, a few varieties of clover and some alfalfa in this one. The 1/4 acre plots are going to be challenging. Everything is killed off but still lots of dead grass, vines and briars. They jamb up the cultivator so I run a row and pull all the crap out. Hopefully I can get the other two plots done tomorrow. Putting winter peas in one and a mix of oats, clover, peas, tricilate. Then I have some small kill plots in Virginia.
I was in Alaska this summer and won't be able to get out to the farm I hunt until September so I plan on hunting timber to and from established food sources. Hoping to get plots in next year!
Shot tonight after reducing the draw weight to 55. My ego took a hit, having to turn my bow down after all these years but after a few shots and a small adjustment, this is my group. It restored my confidence a little. Blessings..........Pastorjim

I'm good with Copperhead as Capt. I will try to get on as much as possible but I've got one more plot to plant and run retriever field trials every weekend almost til season starts so ill be busy. I've got a couple cams to get out still but have been glassing a couple nice 140's, and one that should push boone. Hope to keep pressure down and slip in to kill one of them the first week. I got a couple 130's in my backyard but don't think they are what I'm looking for even though the one is mature. Here's a few pics to get everyone pumped..... Last years buck: Year before:
