I have some decent ones running Pa too, around 140" which is real good for my area. Fun is the plan, but nothing's better than a good hero shot!!
Not in the immediate area but about two hours from here there are tons. They are cool little deer, I'm going to try and get out a couple times and hunt them.
Hey Everybody, Rutin checking in.... sorry I'm a little late on roll call. Hunt private and public, mostly public and save my private spots until I think I can dive in and kill something. I hunt in Ohio mainly but used to venture all over the Midwest. I may make a trip back to Indiana this year since I lost my 1000 acre lease in Ohio this year. Either way the first 140+ to walk by me is getting whacked! I got a feeling tag soup may be heading my way after the last two seasons (2014;186", 2015;165") but I will def grind it out.
You had a great couple last seasons! Hopefully you can keep the streak alive! My goal this year is to shoot one that is 140, My life goal is 160", could have done it last year in Ohio on public had the biggest buck in my life at 15yds, I already tagged out tho and was looking for a doe. Don't you love how that happens haha. Hopefully he made it through and is a booner this year!
You guys are killing me! I'm happy shooting 100" bucks, it would a dream come true to kill a 130 or 140 typical.
Same with me! Although I'm aiming for 120. My problem is if it excited me it gets an arrow. Sent from my LG-H810 using Tapatalk
What part of MD are you from? My buddy's family hunts down there in the swamps somewhere not sure of the area tho, and they kill absolute slobs down there. It's all during shotgun season and people are driving deer around the property they hunt, they say they go through multiple boxes of shells easily. Not for me but there's big bucks around.
Sorry I'm late to the party guys! My name is Eric, and as you can probably tell I live and hunt in Maine. I do go to Illinois for the 2nd week of November though and as of right now that is still the plan! I hunt mostly public land here in Maine, but do have some private land to hunt as well. I've got a great buck on camera in my back yard that is the one I'm after, but I'm not too picky here in Maine either. I've got a pretty decent track record for Illinois, and have killed a couple good bucks the last few years out there. Usually good for a doe or two as well. I've got a Maine moose permit this year as well so that will be taking a week of my time in October. Week of the 10th.. I'm in on the group text messaging! victory hunter - Tristan Coastie - Rob copperhead - Craig HuntMaine - Eric Jimolsson7 MIHOYT89 - Mitch nsuthoff - Nolan pastorjim08 - Jim Robinson - Will rutin Suncrest08 - Tyler ZXTMike

I live in central Maryland. Yeah the Eastern shore produces some giants mainly because there is so much farmland there. In the past two years I have killed one 137" non-typical with my bow and a 125" typical with a shotgun. Those are my two best so I'm definitely not complaining, I would just like to break that typical P&Y mark with my bow. There are definitely some big bucks around. I happy to kill any deer regardless, it puts meat in the freezer!
Welcome and congrats on the moose tag! Are you going to try it with a bow? I hope you kill a nice buck but I'd be even more excited to see you get a nice bull.
