one heck of a head ... Ive wanted to try em, but unsure of the straight or serrated, even with the explanation in the vid .. I lean to the straight cut, esp. for deer

Nice to see they redesigned the ferrule. The old version was very prone to breaking. Looks like a good head all the way around, but I can never bring myself to using them after seeing them break fail on impacts.

Not sure, but I’ll let you know.
Got me rethinking the QAD Exodus I’m using.
I don’t hunt concrete blocks, but happy to see it survived.
Really, what’s not to like? Flies good, good price point, great warranty and made in America.

QAD is a better head. The black hornet is great till ferrule breaks on one. They been redesigned but the material is the same still. I can’t see using any head that doesn’t have a steel ferrule

have you heard of issues with the ferrule breaking? I hit a rock with one after it passed through a doe last year. The tip bent a little, but otherwise was intact. Magnus warranty-replaced the broadhead.

Yes it’s was documenting a lot a point of contention on a tread on AT. Lots of pictures and the breaks were almost random. In targets Ect Ect… at first the owner said it was a non issue. Then he said the ferrule was redesigned to eliminate the issue.
My take is an aluminum Ferrule that is cross cut to accept bleeders is a failure waiting to happen.

Had the same thing happen with an Iron Will a couple years ago. Never saw the rock, just dirt.
Can buy a bunch of Black Hornet for what IWs cost.

Love this head...flies like a dream. Feeling nostalgic this year..may bring back the ole Steel Force Phat Head. I think Swhacker bought them out years ago. Anyone know if they're still made well?
