Not exactly a huge feat, but for a town of 60K+ people, I was pumped when the outdoor columnist contacted me wanting to do an interview over my recent trip. Got my 5 minutes of fame, with a picture squeezed in to boot. Just went out in today's Sunday Issue. Here is a link to the e-article. http://bgdailynews.com/articles/2009/09/20/sports/sports7.txt I hope my parents kept todays paper!:D I still haven't seen a hard copy...
Congrats. I envy the area you get to hunt. It's beautiful up there. It happened to me in 02 when I got my 170 3/8. GON (Georgia Outdoor News) contacted me for an interview to put in their mag. I told them the only way I would do it is if it was a promotion for QDM. Turns out they wrote a 3 page article with my pics and some trail cam pics I had gotten of him in velvet. The article turned out to be more about the effects and benefits of QDM and not so much about me. This was my intention.
Awesome Trevor, in a tent for 10 days in alaska, thats hardcore.. I went camping for one night in WV on a campground...lol
Mutual friend showed him a pic I emailed to him. I have met Geordon once before at a QDMA convention back during the summer up at Louisville, but it was a surprise when he asked if I would be interested in doing an article on it this past week, "no hard feelings or pressure either way".....hell yeah I am! lol
Make sure to ask for a XXL camo hat for Christmas :D Actually that is kinda cool, your 15 minutes of fame.
You're my hero, Trev . . . my one brush with greatness :D Seriously, major congrats bro! That's pretty friggin' awesome. And how about that writer: " Fueled only by adrenaline and ramen noodles" . . . is that classic, or what??
