We made it to our cabin, north of yellowstone. The setting is amazing, and the drive in here is even better. We've already seen hundreds of prong horn, an will on the side of the road and the sheep of some sort. Here's a picture from our front porch. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
Nice. I love that area. Don't forget to visit the Grand Tetons. Skip Old Faithful. And please get out of your car and go for some hikes. People that never leave the road in Yellowstone miss so much.
Here's our little cabin. And the creek that is literally 20 feet of the porch. Sitting down for a little dinner in Gardiner, MT. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
Awesome! I've always really wanted to go to Yellowstone. Definetly looks like a place I'll have to visit one day! Sent from my LG-P925 using Tapatalk 2
How family friendly would you say the location is? Id love to go but with two young kids I dont know if they would enjoy it.
You're going to have a great time. Since you went that far, take the time to see Old Faithful, it only takes a few minutes and you can still see whatever else you want to. I grew up a little over an hour from there and fished a lot of the back country in the park. Got charged by a bull elk in the rut too! If you get a chance you can swim in the Firehole river and jump off the cliffs. About a 40 ft drop into a small hole but quite a rush! Have fun!
Had a heck of a day. Saw a grizzly bear from about 75 yards, 2 black bear, lots of pronghorns, hundreds of bison and about 200 elk. The elk were spectacular. We caught the elk coming down the mountain side one after another after another. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
That's awesome. I just got back from there less than a month ago. I'm already wanting to go back again. Sounds like you're having a blast.
