I was out checking one of my cams that I setup 3 weeks ago today. Well I had it all setup with peanut butter and when I went back there were bear marks everywhere even scratched way up the tree. When I went to pull the card I had realized I forgot my SD cards at the house. I was bummed since I will have to wait a couple more weeks when I know I prob have some good pics of him climbing and whatnot. O well. I put out some more mineral and peanut butter so I'm sure I will have some pretty sweet pics. What have you guys forgotten to take to the field with you when you really needed it?
I'm assuming we are talking about trail cameras and such... I've forgotten batteries, SD cards and straps to attach to trees in the past. Now that I use the Covert cameras I don't worry about the straps as they are attached to the camera (great idea by the way). I'm pretty careful about it now as my nearest camera is about a half mile walk and forgetting things is a real pain. :D
You've never forgotten those things? I live on the property I hunt. So I was able to go back for them.
Ha forgetting orange happened to me once. Batteries I fogot once now I always have loads of them. I just can't believe I forget an SD card.......
I have a little bag that has everything I could need plus a few things. Grab the bag and go.. So far I have never forgotten the bag
Well with the coverts no real need to take batteries. But I have forgot a card here when the farm is 45 min away. I was able to check and upload to photobucket at my moms then put the card back.
Funny most of us will triple check gear day before opening day then we usually think we are good for the season till we forget that one little thing....or a bow.
Last year my buddy got up in his tree before realizing he'd forgot his release went back to camp descided it was to late to go back so he grabbed his rife and went 15 mins to another piece of land and shot a 145" buck. Blessing in disguise?
When it comes to cameras, you name it, I've forgotten it. Even went to swap cards one time and put the same card back into the camera instead of the new one. Blessings.........Pastorjim
Some of these are great but so terrible at the same time. I would hate to forget my release after getting in my stand
I forgot my harness once but we were only 10 minutes away from the house when I realized it so we went back.
Got completely setup in a quick brush blind, all my gear was out and situated and I was comfortable. Pulled an arrow to nock on the string and it had a field point on the end of it. All my arrows in my quiver had field points. Started the 20 min walk out to the car and came across a huge doe standing on the trail in front of me at 30 yards. Watched her trot off as the sun rose in the distance. Facepalm.
