    I've been shooting photos for 50+ years. I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL, but do enjoy the capture. A lot of people like to get the big picture and never go for the macro shot. However, the macros are sometimes the best. Here are some examples:

    Have you ever really looked at that thin layer of ice that will form over a small pothole, that has no water below it? Here it is without the sun shining directly on it.

    Captured this dragonfly just as he landed and his wings and not stopped at the perpendicular position.

    I always think it is cool to catch flying critters in mid flight.
