Can anyone that has the LW climbing sticks actually take a single stick (strap included) and weigh it on a reliable scale?

    Thanks! :D

You know the LW sticks are almost exactly the same weight as the Muddy sticks that are nearly 12" shorter? :(

I have mixed feelings on my new Muddy sticks.........................

    Interesting.

Don't enjoy the compactness of them?

How high can you get with them?

I used them VERY briefly for the first time hunting with Hunsucker last weekend.

While they're pretty sweet in some aspects, I like the fact that four LWs can probably get me higher than five Muddys could. If I could remove the cam-action grippers and rope and put them on my LWs, I think I'd have a perfect stick.

Those are my thoughts as well.

I bought 6 of the Muddy sticks, and they weigh 15.1lbs all together. That's about 2.5lbs per stick @ only 20" of stick.

Figuring 24" between sticks, I can get to a bit over 23' with 5x LW sticks, and it takes me 6 of the Muddy sticks to get to 22'. With the LW sticks, I'm still a full 2.5lbs lighter.

I'm honestly thinking of unloading 5x of my Muddy sticks, and picking up 4x LW sticks to replace them. If I can get a single Muddy stick to nest with the 4x LW sticks, I should be able to get to well over 20' easily, and still have double steps on top to get onto the stand easily.

Now I gotta figure out if it makes sense to unload these before my week of hunting in November...............

That's exactly what I do Only bought one Muddy and it fits nicely on top of the 4 LW sticks. Total package weighs 25 lbs or so
