I was looking at the Lone Wolf Hand climber and was wondering how safe are they when you are climbing considering there isnt a bar in the front ?

Like with all climbers, you should use a safety harness as you climb.

I had one and loved it the only thing I don't like about climbing stands are you have to let the tree pick you. But if your wearing a harness they are as safe as one with the bar you sit on to climb.

I have used one since 2009. I love it. Put your tree strap on and slide it up as you climb and it is safe. I hate stands with front bars. I also use a Sit and Climb wide on bad back days, but as soon as I am at height that bar gets gets folded under out of the way.
