Team - This is really great. We are only two away from a full roster! If we do not hear from folks in a week, I will request alternates unless someone here knows our missing crew and can speak up for them.

Is this anyone's first year in the contest? This will be my third. I'm....two years overdue for points. Not for lack of trying! I want to make sure we cover the rules for new folks.

You guys can also call me Jonathan or JD.

This is my 4th season in the contest, so far I've gotten a fergie and a doe every season so 100 points, I'm definitely looking to get out of that habit this fall!

I'm hoping the other two come on in! I'm sure it's the hectic get everything ready preseason stuff. Looking forward to laying down some footage this year too! I've been filming for 4 years (all because of BHOD) It's a blast!!

JD I am new to the contest. I have read the rules but keep me in line with what needs to be done.

--I understand it as 1 buck scored and 1 doe for 50 points.
--Take 2 pics of the tagged deer and post to the contest thread.
    --Archery equip only
--2nd doe can be claimed instead of buck

This lady seems to be on a very tight lunch schedule! No bucks yet but I did see a few on my way home.

    This is an excellent questions.

Can you enter two doe. The answer is NO. You can enter a buck (your first buck) and 1 bonus deer. That deer can be a second buck or a doe. If you enter a second buck, it counts at 50 points.

NOTE: You can not withhold a deer from the contest, waiting on a bigger buck! The first buck you tag, get's entered. Period!

Another VERY, VERY important rule in entering a deer. You need two photos from slightly different angles AND you need your archery weapon in the picture!!!

Guys - I ordered some new camo and another cam....neither will help me kill a bigger deer but, it's more fun in the toy box! Went with the Scent Blocker Apex suit. Bushnell no glow. I have not been in the woods for a few week to pull card in the other 3 cams out there. The camera on order will likely go in my yard for the time being. See if I can inventory some deer.

Show and tell weekend! While your out practicing this weekend take a picture of your bow and post it up. Post up any homemade targets or how your 3D targets are set-up. Finally tell us about one of your favorite tree stand placement which you plan to hunt opening day( wind permitting). Are you hunting a food plot, fields edge, water, ???

I do not have many shots of my rig however, here are a few from my stand. Again, I hunt a lot of big woods.

I am starting my 19th year at Rochester Schools in Central, IL just outside of the state capital Springfield. We are kind of a football powerhouse around here.... 5 straight 4A State Championships. I stepped down from football so I could help my wife with raising a little boy we adopted from Hong Kong with special needs. So I mainly get out on Saturday mornings and when there is no school.

I had a pretty uneventful weekend myself, I'll get some pictures later on. I went to a sportsman's raffle, didn't win anything but they had an open bar which was great until I fell asleep at 7pm lol woke up on Sunday and fished a kayak bass fishing tournament and took 2nd place. Transitioning back to deer this week and going to put final seed in the ground before it's too late.
