Well I cant get out much if at all this week. On Friday morning I will be headed to Camp Ripley to do the annual bow hunt there. Deer numbers are not as strong in there as they used to be but there is always some monsters roaming around in there, so we'll see what happens. As for around home, just got another very nice buck on camera, I hope he sticks around and makes it through gun season
Well had a good/bad weekend! it was perfect conditions hunting, and the cold weather actually kicked some good bucks into pre-rut/rut. My dad got a nice 8pt that was chasing some does, this deer was all swollen and stinky and dark tar glands! My other buddy Moe got a nice 8, same thing as last all rutted looking and chasing does. Couple other guys at camp got some does! I hit a doe, but hit her low in the elbow(found a chunk of joint bone in the bloodtrail), tracked her bloodtrail for a mile it seemed like until it must have clotted up and eventually stopped. never found her, hoping she can adapt and live! I will be back up in a couple weeks, this is our fifth year at our lease and we finally have it worked enough to were everyone is seeing some good deer!

I sent you a PM a few weeks ago..did you find a good deal on new LW straps? I am in need of 2 new sets of straps. I will be back home tomorrow and hope to get out one prior to the weekend.
Guys. Wish me some luck. Just arrowed a big one. Hit looked high and back so, going to start looking after lunch. Will post an update tonight either way.
Quick update. Tons of blood at the hit site. Found arrow covered top to bottom with blood 5 yards from hit. Will recovery buck after lunch.
Last update will post pictures tonight. Found him within 100 yards of the shot looks like he was dead within two or three minutes. 12 Pointer.
