Sure is!! I shot alot my first day out, turns out the steel choke it came with doesn't pattern well with BBB but patterns extremely well with #2 shot. Even at 50/60 yards lol

I will swab bore butter(what I use on my muzzleloader) through the barrel. I have no proof but I feel it helps in wet conditions.

Oct 1st is rapidly approaching. I can not wait! I might even do a full day hunt to break open the season. Depends on the family situation that day. Time will go by fast, I need to head to Texas for work this Saturday, back on Tuesday. Have some last minute camo arriving in the next week so, pumped all around. Cameras are not showing buck however, are have consistent mature doe so, I am pumped to get a sit in.

I went and checked some of our cameras about an hour ago, one has pretty constant deer movement everyday, or at least every other day. I am excited for this weekend! Hoping to get a doe on the board pretty quick.

Went to check a few stands where the logging is wrapping up. My favorite pinch point area got hammered. Part of the process but not sure what will happen. I have a feeling the deer will be on an altered pattern for awhile. They are picking beans here.

Well the season finally started for me this weekend. I didn't get a chance to sit until Sunday night, but the boy and I got to see over 25 deer!! We had a bachelor group of 5 bucks come through at about 65-70 yards, with the largest probably scoring somewhere around 120". I had numerous does come within 5 yards but not looking to shoot one in the particular spot just yet. Hope everyone else is having a little luck!!

Bucks are showing up, just not the right ones. This card pull was last week. I likely won't check again until opening morning.

I'll check my cams on opening day as well. So excited! Great seeing the reports roll in.

As a reminder. This is a fun contest. It should not alter anyone's hunting or shall I say shooting. If you are going to kill an animal, let it be because you want to...not because of a contest.

Also, if you do get lucky. We need the two pics with you, deer, weapon from different angles...or it will not count!

Have fun, be safe, shoot straight!

Opening weekend went pretty well up here in sodak. We ended up harvesting quite a few ducks and my roommate was able to harvest a deer (doe) with his bow. The weather is starting to turn cool here and deer are moving more during the day. Can't wait to get out again!

    Not until tomorrow for me!

Forecast....40% chance of rain for the entire day until evening. Then 50% chance.

Only challenge I have with the rain is hiking in 1.5 miles and getting all sweaty.

    I will be there regardless.
