I plan on hunting Property #2 on Sunday morning. The wind will be out of the NNE and that is perfect for this stand. I will have a great moon too. The big buck I am after walks in the morning during and a few days after a new moon.
Jealous that you guys are able to hunt already! I have until Oct. 1st but in the mean time I have been busy squirrel hunting and trying to get some doves! It was in the high 90s all of last week and is supposed to be considerably cooler this week. Thank goodness!
This is going to be a picture heavy post, enjoy First things first, I can not wait for the temps to drop. For many reasons but this is a big one, I hate rattle snakes! We killed 2 this weekend... VIDEO: 12 rattles on this beast Now, for the deer cam pics. We still have a few good deer from last year that should be showing up on camera but these are a few of the ones we do have.
Well boys, it was a HOT first week! I didn't get any eyes on any of my shooters but my I hunt with did! He had our #2 bed down just over 30 yards away in some cat tails! With no clear shot, he waited him out for 45 minutes, then the buck got up and worked the other way. I was a great week though! I passed on almost a dozen doe in bow range and saw even more, but only saw 1 young 5 point. Evenings have been very tough and I skipped out on a couple that were 95 degrees plus! This next week could be shaping up for some good weather and I hope these big bucks don't change their pattern for another week. Keep you guys posted on my hunts! Lungbusters or Die!!

We're on the board boys! I got my number 1 this morning that I call Special Ed! I probably won't have him scored or put on the score board until tomorrow or the next day but I wanted to let the team know that we just jumped into second place! Im guessing hes in the 150 range. Awesome buck great job....awesome. ..just hope you have more than 0ne pic of your deer with you and your buck so it can count.. but congrats again...
