I had the Big Buck I am after show up twice last week during the rain. Once at 4PM and again the next day at 6:30PM. He is coming in on a SW wind. Well tomorrow we have the same wind. The way he is travelling, I should get a shot if he ever he winds me. We are expecting rain on Monday with a East wind. Buying a rain suit tonight. Tomorrow and/or Monday should be really good!!

Scorecard updated today. Shows us in third place. Behind 1st a little over 100 points. I think we are still missing a buck on there so I believe we are in first.

Never had to deal with so many insects in Nov before. It is hot out.

Buck shot this morning. Not near me.

Shot the bow today and somehow stuck a fletching off other arrow. Not sure how that works.

Woke up to rain this morning and decided not to get soaked. Been raining all day, but I did slip out to check the trail cam on the urban property I hunt. Finally had something with some horn show up, but he will be getting the pass for the next few seasons. Hopefully dad or grandpa to this guy shows up during daylight.

I hit a stud tonight, twice I believe. shot him broadside at 38 yards, h ran 20 yards and stood there hunched up like he was gut shot. Shot him again at 50 yards, not sure where that arrow hit. he proceed to run 45 yards stop and slowly walk another 100 yards hunched up like guts. arrow shows red blood, blood spraying out 4ft wide path, then just to drops. then opened back up for 50 yards, then lost it again. going out in the morning, I don't think he will be far. while we were tracking a pack of coyotes cut in and went ballistic twice 150 yards or so in front of us. prayers for a dead recovered deer tomorrow much appreciated!

Man I hope you find him! I have gone out the last four days. On Friday evening I saw 17 does and 1 buck on my property. The young buck was harassing the does, but they wanted nothing to do with him. I was so hoping that a nice one was going to come out and check out the scenery but that didn't happen. I am hoping within the next week or two things are going to start heating up here in Illinois.

Andrew I am ready to see a picture once you find it!

Good luck with finding that buck, sounds like he should be down

This week of work will be so long.. Heading up to IL to do a week of public land hunting. We leave early early Saturday morning. Should be an exciting time.

Nice work on the doe. Good pictures. I've been stalking this page all morning with 2 deer hit.

I keep checking it as well!

Did one of them plant right into the shoulder? I hate when it hits smack dab on that bone!

no luck finding him this morning. spoke with the neighbor a few minutes ago via text to let him know I hit a good one and I thought it ran into the cedars on his place. His reply was he heard a deer come in there last night and it sounded like it crashed then thrashed then quiet and no more deer! fingers crossed I can find him tomorrow!
