Sounds like the deer sightings are starting to increase. This is typically the week here in Illinois that the activity starts to pick up. Im ready to be living in the tree more often!

I went out last night and had a Doe and 6 pointer come in at 6:15pm. The Doe heard me move in the stand and trotted off with the 6 pointer. They circled and came back in right at dark. Too dark to shoot. Back to back Sunday evening hunts have been good. Next Doe that shows herself is going down. So Ready for the Rut! Decoying this year for the first time!

Out tonight. Only saw 1 small doe early. Moon is screwing with things and pretty warm temps.

Thursday on looks good again in my area. Not sure of moon, but hopefully gone by then.

This weekend will be good. Corn should be out. Talked to farmer today.

Buddy shot a 184 last week. Rattled in. Heard of one other rattling success with 148 inch buck taken recently. These were before the full moon.

I have a speaking engagement that is going to take me away from home for the next two days. Hoping to be back in stand on Thursday!

Good stuff. Love the pile of meat. Nothing looks better than 4 backstraps next to each other.

Just a tip a friend told me because I never used it is use your harness and drag for dragging deer. It works really well. I usually don't if it isn't very far. Might have been the case in your video.

You took a lot of extra time to get all those shots. Time to get those smokers going.

I have a strap I use to drag doe but for that shot I wanted to carry it like that. For longer drags I'll use the strap.

    Glad you enjoyed the video

Well I just drove all the way across Illinois and Indiana yesterday and saw some does feeding in fields but saw no rut activity and not too many deer for that matter. Makes me want to get out in the stand and see what is running around.

Waiting on bullwinkle. Corn us getting picked. Combine broke down. Probably 40 acres left.

Went out this morning. Saw 3 dink bucks. Nothing else.

Good luck out there. Who's going to kill the Halloween buck. 3 years ago I got a nice one.

Shot a couple of miles from our farm. Only saw one small buck grunting a big doe tonight. Farmer saw a nice buck on ridge with two does tonight. I almost ran over a small buck with utv coming out. Corn is out.

Saw picture of another nice buck that was shot yesterday. Things are happening. All it takes is the right minute.
