Our team is doing really well. This is the least amount that I have hunted in quite a few years, but this weekend is supposed to really drop down temperature wise and I am going to do my best to get up in a tree as much as possible!

I was just looking at forecast and the guys in the midwest should see some bucks moving this weekend. Lows at 27 and 29 here for Friday and Saturday. High of 51 and 50. Unfortunately I'm heading back to wife's family Thursday to Michigan. The worst part is Saturday evening looks like a good wind that I've been waiting for. Need a south or southeast wind.

I have been staying out of the woods because of the heat and wind. Probably the least I've ever hunted 13 days into the season. You watch. This weekend a lot of bucks will show up on this site being killed or at least on trailcams.

Probably get out tomorrow night and sit so I can check two cameras. The best time of year is right around the corner.

They're calling for lows in the upper 30's here this weekend. I went today and pulled the card on my cam on the urban sanctuary I got permission to hunt. I knew it was holding the does, but I wasn't prepared for what I got. No bucks yet, but that time is coming. Here is one of the many pics that I got since Friday evening when I put the cam out. I'm sure I can get us 50 more points this weekend and some meat in the freezer.

I counted 8 in this pic. Probably more that can't be seen.

She will eat well! Nice video! Was the doe that kept flicking her tail in the beginning of the video thinking something was up or something else?

Do you always process them without gutting them? I have tried that a couple times on smaller does and I don't mind doing it that way too!

Yeah we never field dress because we have a camp and skinning shed on the property. So we just get it back and then clean it. I only gut them once it's skinned. Just easier

Yeah they went down wind of me. Knew something wasn't right but wasn't sure. Eventually it worked out and they changed their course to right in front of me

Like the video LSU. I wish more videos actually showed the taking care of the meat also. We do the same thing as far as skin them first. Then gut. We think it is easier too.

During shotgun season we have a skinning pole we use with some rope, pulleys, clamps and tie rope to truck. The truck skins the deer once we get it started. Amazing how easy this works. Then we gut and put deer in the shed on hangers. Keeps the inside cleaner too. I need to take a video of it this year. I don't hunt shotgun anymore, but still go over for the food and drinks.

Well I went out and did see a couple deer but the wind was swirling and it just didn't feel like a good night to be in the stand

Went out last night. Saw 4 does. Got downwind and blew out. Saw a decent buck that I don't have on camera that came 55 yards by. He looked like he had mass and some stickers off brows. Main frame 8, but might have been 11-13 point. Only had range finder on him. Wouldn't have had a shot if I wanted to shoot. He was borderline. Got the adrenaline going.

Good luck this weekend. I'm jealous of those that arw out. No October lull this weekend boys. Midwest will see deer.

Checked cameras and have more pics of 13 point. No more of the 10 point that I had videos of before. Those are the two I'm after. Those two and any other deer I send an arrow at. I've had some ground shrinkage before and will again.

I'll be out Saturday morning. If my hunting land wasn't an hour away, I'd get out after work tomorrow! As Scarps23 said, Midwest will see deer
