So this whole situation came as a big surprise to me and it really goes to show how important it is to test your exact hunting set up out. I am shooting Gold Tip Expeditions (non-pro) 400's with 100 grain Thunderhead broadheads and lumenocks. I have been sighted in for a while and when I used Lumenocks with field points, my arrows would still shoot dead on. I then shot with my broadheads right before opening day to make sure they were on. Broadhead without lumenock was a little to the right. No big surprise so i corrected it. However, since i wanted to use lumenocks while hunting, i shot my broadheads with lumenocks and they were all over the place. I was shooting about 3" low and they were flying real weird. Put my regular nock back on and I was dead on again with the broadhead. Has anyone else ever had this happen with the combination of fixed blade broadheads and lumenocks?? I know the lumenock weighs a little more but to be that off? Seems weird.
YeA I shoot Gold Tips and when I tried the Lumenoks they flew crazy with 100 grain muzzy. Took em off and found some Carbon Express sold at wal mart. They work perfect not as heavy as the lumenoks
Naw. Thought it was. Took it to my guy n he looked and looked, nothing. Put the carbon express ones in, shot fine.
