Haven’t you ever been to the horse track? The horse leading going into the final turn NEVER wins.....

Moved trail cameras to new property to see any bigger buck there. I may hunt second buck tag after Christmas, no pressure for it

Getting g ready to hit the woods for a few hours. Our season closes Saturday, so My hunts remaining are limited, and only can shoot a buck. If it’s not a good buck I am letting them walk.

I keep comparing my deer to a bunch of 4x4s on the scorecard and fricken unreal. My buck is way bigger than a lot of them deer and they are posting way higher scores... I’m pretty sure that if this is how this contest works you guys can count me out next year. I don’t need to waste my time hanging around a bunch of cheaters

just remember it is all in fun, if someone feels the need to cheat it is a reflection on them. Don’t take it seriously, we will need you to defend our title should we hold on .

Ya if we win we will need you! All we can worry about is the accuracy of the scores we post up. We are doing alright by being honest I’d say!

Honesty only propels a man forward! Yes if we win I will stay in it for the team.. as of right now the buck with those split tines I passed twice is still alive. He’s 3.5 years old and scores around 130 - 140 now.. I saw him again at 100 yards last Saturday when I was out with the muzzleloader doe hunting. The tall 5x5 that is around 140 is still alive and is .5 miles from my stand chasing does in the neighbors back yard, best part is he only photographs animals so he’s pretty safe there as well. Never seen that one in person so hard to say age. Either way hopefully I’ll be chasing them both next fall! It has been fun getting to know you guys!

On a side note, the more I look at the rack from my buck the more I like it. I am trying to find a cape so I can do a shoulder mount of him. image.jpg

Sorry I haven't been too active lately fellas! Hope you all gad a nice Thanksgiving! I have been very busy with work as the year end is approaching and have been working hard in getting prepared for our second split for waterfowl. My boat is finally all grassed now which means I am ready to go for our second split opener this weekend, early morning duck hunts and afternoon deer hunts if all goes well. I'm certainly good for at least a doe esp now that its late season and ya never know may catch up with one of the bucks still . Still lots of time for me as our season goes until the end of January, just love me the ducks and geese so it's hard splitting time lol. Congrats on all the deer taken here, some slammers for sure!

Here's my gator all grassed which took most of last weekend to get done and didn't permit for any hunting unfortunately.
