I'll be the first to eat crow. Wisconsin is a bit better than I expected and LSU a bit worse. Fournette will be a force for the next couple years though.
Congrats LSU. As soon as I saw herring go down with zew out earlier I figured it would change. We probably are in serious trouble now for the rest of the season if they can't come back.
The winning plan was to run the ball and force LSU to throw. We can't stop the run now. And with gordan out and a total lack of passing game we can't expect a last drive.
While LSU came back and won... I still stand by my statements. UW is better than I initially thought and LSU slightly worse. Plenty of rocky starts this year though across the board. FSU and Bama both had shaky first wins.
LSU is young. Really young. I expected the offense to struggle like it did. Well...the passing game at least. I did not expect the defense to struggle like it did in the first half though. Wisconsin was dominating the LOS, but I guess depth caught up with them. So Gordon was hurt? He was dominating the first half then didn't many carries the rest of the game.
I think he had two carries in the second half. Something had to be up with that. Depth was the key. We lost some key players. The two DL guys were big.
Surely your other QB is better, right? Every time y'all dropped back to pass I smiled because I knew it would not accomplish anything.
