Maybe this is common knowledge, I just found out about it the other day. But just want to let all my fellow veterans know, that Lowes offers a 10% discount on every purchase for veterans. You can sign up on their website. I’ve always been a Lowe’s guy, now more than ever.

Good to see them step up.

Home Depot does as well; along with many others. FWIW; Menards does not.
This is a pretty comprehensive list of other vendors that offer a military discount (which almost always applies to spouses as well) :

There are a lot of companies that offer first responders discounts as well. Carhartt, Columbia, Ray Ban all offer %10-15 off and YETI offers %20 discount! I’m neither but my family is fully of both. I’m always hearing about their deals lol.

Pro deals are out there I always feel kinda guilty taking the discount I get paid to work fire most times from when I leave home till I get back mandatory 16 hours pay for detail work. As a second job (a hobby) I do not deserve any discount.

Home Depot will give a 10% with a Military ID, VA card, or county military ID.

you put your life on the line for general public; least you deserve is a 10-15% break on tools and clothes.

might wanna double check Home Depot. Last I tried to get veteran discount was told it’s only certain times, Memorial Day, Veterans Day and the like. Lowe’s was similar but did change to all year long. I signed up and use it quite often. In addition to that the VA did roll out a new process for a national veterans ID card. I will try to post the link for everyone to check out. I have applied for mine already.
