I have noticed a low pitched squeal kind of sound coming from my bow when I draw. It's happening 8th the last half of the draw cycle. It sounds like something rubbing. I thought maybe my rest which is a qad ultra rest but sounds like coming from my cable slide/guard. It doesn't do it every draw. But it does it often and really bothering me I love my bow and how it shoots. It's a Mission Blaze. But the sound drives me crazy and can't imagine it happening in season drawing on a nice deer. Anybody have any ideas?
hey man, i had the same problem a couple of weeks ago. its the little piece that slides on the slide. take off your cables..move the slide and throw a little bit of wax on the slide. youll be fine.
You mean the slide part the cables ride in right? And if so. Do you. Mean the channels that the cables ride slide through or the round channel that actually rides the rod? Thanks bro.
Yep, sounds like the cable slide is the problem. I just replaced mine (tonight actually)...it wasn't making noise, but was starting to wear my string. The Saunders Hyper Glide Slide is about $20.00, but so easy to put on and very smooth and quiet. Read the reviews on Cabela's, Bass Pro, etc. These things are great. Most guys say they are gaining 3-5 fps as well (haven't checked mine). Good luck.
