Gonna go look tomorrow after work. Still can’t believe we didn’t find him. My friends who are excellent trackers said I might of hit close to the heart, but didn’t get it. They also think he’s still alive. That QAD put some serious blood on the ground, wish I put a better shot on him.

Can you post up an image with microsoft paint showing where you hit him along with your stand height seated/standing.

Perfectly broadside at 35 yd was already stated. Whether you just missed the blood on a change of direction I'm not sure, sometimes they will loop back to the direction they came from. I just have a hard time believing he could clot up. Whether that pool of lung blood came from the mouth, lungs getting full or from the entry/exit hole, lungs trying to exhale forcing out the side. I just think a key turn was missed.

What's water in the area look like? Private or public. That second image of blood is just too convincing to not continue the search until you find him.

Where the black spot is where I hit him. I believe my arrow dropped some and I meant to say 45 yards instead of 35 (typo)

I aimed at his shoulder but knew the arrow might drop so I put the pin mid chest knowing my arrow could drop. He jumped straight up, tail tucked and wasn’t running real hard, blood pouring out.

Also I also was hunting out of a ground blind.

No update I didn’t find him. No blood. He wasn’t in the corn field. He could have ran into the river and if that is so, he’s in Mississippi

After reviewing the tactcam though it’s not the best footage, I noticed his head was slightly behind a tree, but he was slightly quartering away. I didn’t find him and believe I cut through his brisket. I got good blood for about 80 yards and it quit. I’m going back in and putting a camera up where he first walked out at. I’m gonna sit in the blind hopefully see him come out. I still can’t believe we found bright red blood with bubbles and no deer. It was strange. I wish I had better footage of the shot. He was a poke out there and don’t remember where the arrow hit him. What I remember is he was bleeding like stuck hog. I hope he lives.

I could but you won’t be able to see it. Those cams stink, very clear but don’t shoot in.
