Arrow looks promising. See some brown hair on the leaves and white on the shaft. Can you describe the shot angle and deer stance?
We searched high and low, found very bright pink blood. Found bubbles as well. We probably should have went in the morning. Must have gotten only one lung though. He clotted up and quit bleeding. He broadside as he could of been. I think we have a great opportunity to locate this buck.
It's a dead deer, just going to come down to how much effort is put into finding it. That is easily a grapefruit sized pool of lung blood. I'd be willing to bet you find it within 75 yds of that spot.
That's lung blood for sure. Hard to tell if 1 or 2 but I'd hard pressed to say he's alive. Best of luck finding him!
Be patient. That's a good looking sign, with that many bubbles in the puddle of blood. Did I miss the answer to cls's question, about shot angle? Sent from my SM-N900V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Take it slow in the morning. I one-lunged my buck. He was still alive 35 hours after the shot. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Yeah he was perfectly broadside at 35 yards. I knew he was hit cause of the sound. When he ran off he was pouring the blood out. I wish we would have waited this morning to start looking.
Good luck on the search, if he was pouring blood and you found that lung blood he should not be hard to find. Take some glass with you and scan ahead at that spot of blood, hopefully you'll see some white belly not too far off.
Thank you sir for the advice. Yes I saw blood pouring out and had a total pass through. When I first saw him run off I first thought the arrow was sticking out and bouncing up and down, but what I saw was blood pouring out.
