I really can't believe this weather we've had this year. We had more highs in the 70's than in the 90's here in NW Mo this past summer. The forecast for Saturday morning calls for a low of 31 and a high of 47 with a 6-9 mph wind from the North. I've hunted opening morning of rifle season in a lot warmer conditions that this and that is 5 weeks away. What effect do you think this will have on deer movement if temps remain unseasonably cool. Earlier chasing and seeking phase maybe that leads to an earlier rut?
when me and my buddy walked out of the woods last night...we were thinking the same thing...maybe an early rut?....who knows...?
All I know is I love it - deer don't spoil as quick...and the skeets don't carry me out of my stand. An October the way it's supposed to be...
I am loving this weather! Saturday - Tuesday here in Central MO lows in 30's highs in 50's. That is awesome for this time of year! I don't know if it will make us have an earlier rut, I don't think temps dictate when the rut starts, but there will be better movement. They have their winter coats on so cold temps are always better for movement.
Now it feels like hunting season, enough with the hot weather until next summer! Its awesome here, they is a chance for snow next week, it'll melt, but for it to snow it means its gotta be COLD out! I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our lows are in the high 30's and the highs in the 50's, kinda nice, leaves are changing then they're gonna drop here real soon!
