Look at a new piece today tomorrows' hunt in PM and like Sat on another new piece I found more rubs and scrapes than I could shake a stick at! Today I counted 52 scrapes! now Im not one to get all worked up over scrapes, but what this does tell me is that the bucks are there and they are moving some. I saw about 20 rubs in this piece. Nothing too big, but big enough to convince me that there are good bucks in the 125" and up class. I walked a lot today and found some acorns, scrapes, and rubs all in one area... I hope I see some antlers tomorrow. I don't know the caliber of buck doing it so we'll see. #-4 of the scrapes had wet pee and fresh droppings in them, this means that it's really getting close to pre rut behavior here in SE Va!

Thanks, me too!! But Im just going to be content to see some deer on this piece...I have never deer hunted it before. The same way I did Sat PM, never hunted that piece either, didn't see a deer but saw lots of rubs tracks and trails...wrong wind and wrong food source!! I had a brain freeze!
