I hope you find them too. My friends dog ran away for a couple days and they were real worried. Turns out he was about 3 miles away at one of their friends house.

I feel for you Doug - I sure hope your boys show up soon. I'd be a mess if my boy was lost. Hopefully you'll hear something today.

Well, I SUSPECT someone had them as they showed up this morning after I posted some LOST flyers on "STOP" signs along all our common country roads where people really have to stop for a brief moment, and in the couple of quick stops and small local grocery store. I'm very happy to have my boys home as I was beginning to wonder if something had seriously happened to them. My Mother-in-law saw them walking towards the house not a 1/4 mile away this morning around 11:30...... I posted the flyers between 0815 and 0900!!!

    But the good news is:

    MY BOYS ARE HOME!!!!

Thanks guys, I'm much relieved. But now I'm a little ticked because someone not far from me had them. They weren't hungry (can you imagine a 150-160# dog not being hungry after 2 1/2 days away???), and when the mother-in-law saw them they were walking towards our house!!! Somebody in my area might need a little brain adjustment!!!

As much as I hate to think that is the case, I certainly believe THAT was indeed the case Ben. That's what really fumes me. And they're both nice enough, they'd probably never be a problem, until my big diesel went rolling down the road, then they'd be chasing after it. Everytime they've ever run off before, all I had to do was run down the road in my truck and they both came running. I hadn't even kept ID tags on them for the last few years because they never wandered other than to a couple different neighbors, both of which would love on 'em a bit and give me a call.

Wow Doug, I have been following this as well and that is some awsome news that they made it back safe. Its hard to say where they were or what happened, it could have been bad neighbors but it might not have as well.... the important thing is that you have them both back!!! That is just awsome!!!

I know what you mean about the truck thing. I have a curious German Shorthair. When he was younger, I had a '92 Chevy with a 350 and straight pipes. All I had to do was take a rip up the road and before long he was running behind me. :) Now (at our new home) it's the four wheeler. I take a lap around the neighborhood, and he is usually running behind me before too long.

Look at it this way, you found another place to look when they are gone too long. Glad it worked out for ya. Been thinking bout you and your boys for a few days now. Real glad they are home.
