    Hey Guys,

I was in the local bow shop today looking to pick up a half dozen arrows. I already have my heart set on some goldtips that are in lost camo before I went in. Well I go there and check out what he has and didn't notice any. I asked him if he ordered any and he told me he never will because they're too heavy and they make too much noise. Well this pro shop owner is definitely knowledgeable but he is really bias on his products. It's like if isn't good enough for him then he see's no reason to order it. That's fair I figure, it's his shop after all.

Well my question is that, has anyone experienced problems with weight of camo arrows and do they make more noise when drawing back?

    Thanks in advance,

    Marauder

First off, your camo arrows are always going to be heavier than their black counterparts simply because the camo covering adds weight to the arrow. I know many bowhunters prefer this so they can pick up some extra KE.

As for the noise issue, that I don't know. Anytime I've had an issue with arrow noise on a rest it's been due to the rest and not the arrow.

I know camo covering makes a noise against a whisker biscuit but I don't shoot one so I use camo arrow and love them

I have also heard the make a bit of noise in a WB, I have also heard they are harder to remove from a target.
I have never understood why someone would want a camo arrow in the first place... here I am trying to get as much white as possible on mine

I had camo XT Hunters for a few years and had no problems. You won't notice it, so get what makes you happy.

If your local shop won't order you what you want, call Jerry at South Shore Archery or order from his website (southshorearchery.com). You won't be disappointed.

I've only really had camo arrows and never noticed much of a problem with them. The only time I've had them be hard to get out of a Target is if they're newer. After a while though they have became fairly smooth feeling and come out pretty easy.

As far as the shop not carrying them our local shop was like that for awhile, where they'd only carry stuff they liked, that's since changed and he will order something if he doesn't have it. Think the losing customers and money changed his attitude on what he kept in stock.

I purchased 3 dozen XT Hunters in Lost Camo last year. No problems what so ever. Can't say I have ever heard of any complaints about noise. Then again I don't know anyone that runs a WB. IMO I think they are hard on arrows. I want the extra weight. A heavy arrow is a quiet arrow, more consistent flight, and packs more of a punch.

And lastly I would find a diff Pro Shop if mine refused to order something for me that I wanted.
