Only got a doe tag left but can't get myself to go freeze my butt off in these cold temps we've been having. Got tomorrow off work but it's suppose to be like 9 degrees with a 15 mph wind. Brrrrr. Anyone else feeling the same way?

No. Suppose to be 19 below tomorrow morning but I finally got the right wind to hunt a spot I've been dying to get in. Going to be brutal with the wind so no idea how long I will last. Pulled the heavy duty pac boots out tonight and it is looking like it will be a two face mask kind of morning. Not my idea of how I wanted to start the new year, but I am starting to run out of time with the season closing Sunday.

Got to get it done !!

Same here, but I only have a corn field to hunt, no real wooded area, the does I've been chasing are coming in right when it to dark to shoot. I may get out one more time. My theory is if it's becoming more work than fun, pack it up and find something else. Squirrels are in season, off I go.

Every year I have big plans to hunt late season. They the cold really aggravates my back and I never seem to get into the woods much. It's tough getting old with an extremely bad back.

Late season can be disheartening, as I've seen ZERO deer in the last 3 evening hunts! I'll be out again this evening though.

Didn't get as cold as they predicted. Only 13 below this morning. Actually wasn't bad at all and I stayed nice and toasty for the 3 hours I was out there. The darn deer went back to bed a different way on land I don't have permission for. No biggie as it was mostly does and fawns with a couple young bucks. Back at it this afternoon in another spot.

I admire the effort that you put in, doing all day sits. That's NOT easy!

Ya, it is cold here in Southern Ontario as well and Sunday was last day of 2013 hunt. My buddy Pete shot a nice tall 7 pointer, 3 1/2 years old yesterday morning at about 7:45 am. Snow storm coming in so I am now going to hunt with trail cams.
The hunt never ends. Good luck and Happy New years from Canada.

The cold beats me anymore add to that the last few hunts I have seen zero deer, I have a feeder in my yard yet the only pics I get are very late at night. I may drive up north to the new farm my brother just bought to set some cams for fun and take a look at the place instead of sitting here.

Two days left and they are talking 15 below for a high with 15 - 30mph winds tomorrow.

    Sunday is 25 below for a high with 15 - 30mph winds.

I would love to still be hunting but those conditions... screw it !!! The weather just has been crazy here. Today it finally made it above zero. We actually hit 33 above. I got rained on the whole time I was out ( a steady drizzle ). Then the wind picked up and it cooled down by dark. By the time I got back to the truck... I was covered in ice and so was my bow.

The day before I hunted with a high of 8 below. It was actually pretty pleasant out.

Its 8 ° here right now. . Tomorrow its suppose to snow and the temps drop below 0 ° with wind, and the high for Tuesday is suppose to be 2 °.

We're not used to those temps in Eastern, Ky. :o

Me and my wife both need to fill our doe tag. . We still have 16 days left and I'm sure I can do it, but I may wait to see what the temps are after next Tuesday!

I don't see how you guys hunt when its 25 below with 15-30mph winds!!!

I have a portable blind and an elevated blind and have heat for both. . I built the elevated blind and bought the portable blind mostly for my wife to use, because she can freeze when its 40 ° !

Good-luck to everyone! . . Hope you all fill those tags before the season ends!

+9 is shorts weather to hunt in up here, LMAO, J/k, the high today is -26 an dropping overnight to -36 with winds gusting to 35kms. I'll trade you any day, man it's realy getting hard with my age to get out in -15 or less anymore! Arthritis is the killer now with my age, I'll me switching my hunting stratagies next year to a earlier hunting season for me. The rutt will be lost to me for now on due to the cold. I'll need to get it done early for me to take home a buck, which will mean no passing bucks early. Actually that's how I got started bow hunting,by shooting any thing that presented me a shot. It'll put the fun back into the sport again I believe. Not caring about size is how I started!
