So I spotted a young buck with a fork and brow-tine on the left side and just a spike on the right. I am wondering if he will always be lopsided or if his rack will even-out in years to come. I know that there can be some major mass gained from years 3 to 4 and this little guy is most likely 2yo. Just curious if anyone has any experience with a buck like this and how they grow from year to year. Thanks

His is a 1 1/2 year old buck. "Lopsided" antlers can happen quite often. Genetics can play a roll. Also, damage to the antler when it is just budding out or really at any point during growth can cause this. An injury to his body can even impact the way one side grows versus the other side. In all likely hood he will be a fine buck in a few years.

Looks like he may have broke it off, he will probably be your classic small basket rack 8 next year
